Marc Jacobs! – beauty in the details

….the highlight of the week has arrived! It’s the Marc Jacobs show.

Marc is legendary for his attention to detail and his eye for color. Hours were spent the day before layering, mixing and blending tones of grey, to mushroom to lavender-taupe until at last, 5 shades were selected by Marc himself! Roxanne worked with Elisa Ferri, long time nail professional for Marc and supported her with CND Colour & Effects and the top notch CND team backstage. The color range is now coined as ‘greige’ and each color was specified for each of 50 models walking the show. Want the look now? Turn to Putty with Lavender Sparkle, Asphalt with Copper Shimmer or Chocolate Milk in high shine. The show included day and evening looks in all shades of gray, accented with yellow ostrich shoes, mushroom fur bags and grayed-down lilac ankle socks and pumps. It’s all about the detail…the the show was somewhere over the rainbow!

The day is done and we’re off for a late downtown dinner at Babbo, Mario Batali’s famed restaurant. Yum…we’ve definitely earned this meal!!!
