ThreeASFOUR was like a trip to the MoMa (Modern Museum of Art, for all of you non-New Yorkers)! From the crimped, tied and molded hair held in place with a full face nude fishnet, and exotic, dark lined eyes with exotic tails wisping up and outward. What a totally different scene at Marc by Marc Jacobs in comparison with yesterday’s Marc Jacobs show! First of all, it was snowing…and we aren’t just talking flurries. A hot mess getting there, but it was a blessing in disguise for the hair team because models would run in with hair matted and wet from the weather and the hair stylists pronounced the look ‘perfect!’ MORE
Max Azria was a star-studded affair and press crush backstage. The minimalist sleek jersey dresses and butter-soft leathers in grey, taupe, oatmeal and black are clothes that accentuate the female form to a tee. The nails were as soft and sumptuous as the clothes; with meticulous manis and a stroke of runway-famed Putty. Seal with Speedey and you have the low maintenance perfect finish for everyday elegance.

Marc is legendary for his attention to detail and his eye for color. Hours were spent the day before layering, mixing and blending tones of grey, to mushroom to lavender-taupe until at last, 5 shades were selected by Marc himself! Roxanne worked with Elisa Ferri, long time nail professional for Marc and supported her with CND Colour & Effects and the top notch CND team backstage. MORE
ECCO Domani Fashion Foundation announced their Fall 2010 winners and featured their brilliance in a collaborative event on the runway! Six designers were honored, including Altuzarra, The Blonds, Organic, Prabal Gurung, Salvor Projects and Siki Im. All the models wore an industrial texturized neutral, created with 2 coats of Putty, one coat of Sapphire Sparkle and Super Matte Top Coat for a clean, modern mannequin hand. We congratulate all the winners and thank them for including nails, the finishing and all important detail!
