At Milly, hyper femme layered jackets, voluminous miniskirts and noisy pops of pink, yellow and cobalt blue were perfectly complemented by the ultimate “Navy Nail” using two coats of CND Colour Midnight Sapphire. Nail shapes were tailored and smart making this modern mani cool and confident.

130 hours of hand detailing went into biker babe manicures for The Blonds! No nail set was alike – crystals, glitter, leather, Phillipe Blond portraits, crushed glass shards and acid washed denim designs were just a few of the styles to grace the runway. This show was perhaps their best ever, with hand-made chain & leather corsets, high tech ‘Evolve’ bikes on the runway and even some very wearable street-smart pieces we would all want to own! As always, the crowd at the show was as interesting as the show itself!! FUN!

Alexandre Herchcovitch’s collection was surprisingly ladylike, but of course in the most unconventional way. All his (subculture) fans were lined up in the front row waiting to be thrilled! And they were not disappointed, especially with the stand out looks that included tonal metallic leather outer pieces paired with opulent layers of gold lace and separates in a rich palette of pumpkin, flesh tone, plum tones and browns.
Our “Midas Touch Manicure” topped off the story with elegance in CND Colour in Gold Chrome topped with Air Dry Top Coat, with matching gold shimmered eyes.

As I ran out the door this morning, the doorman of the hotel, Manny, asked me to wait a second before I left…he came running back with a darling Valentine’s cookie in his hand for me! It is little things in life that make a big difference… little gestures, little acts of kindness. Nice way to start this Valentine’s Day! A BIG HVD to you all.
Naeem Khan stayed true to his Indian roots with opulent gowns that caressed the body in a seemingly endless series of flattering curves. Patterns in classic Indian paisley and geometric prints were adorned with beading, intricate threading and gentle appliqués.
The palette of taupe, sand and black was strikingly accented with pure blood-red nails, drenched in CND Colour in Bloodline and high shine Super Shiney. Keep nails lightly lengthened and shaped in a soft oval for the best look.

The Theory show was attended by all the international fashion elite in the city this week…Anna Wintour and her entourage from Vogue at the top of list… (which, means, well, no need for the rest of the list!) Theory is designed by Olivier Theyskens, from Belgium — one of the most inspired and iconic designers of our time….and one of my personal favorites. I discovered him years ago when he first launched his eponymous line. His architectural and darkly romantic aesthetic remained true to form with woven metallic and neutral fabrics, leather skirts and modern silhouettes.
The designer envisioned just a hint of sophisticated color for both make-up and nails to soften the tough, edgy look of the clothes. Jin Soon Choi for CND designed clean and sophisticated pink nails with CND Colour in Marshmallow Rose. This subtle hint of pink shared blue undertones with the sheer lilac lip.
