Fashion Week – highlights of the week!
Fashion week is over…10 days flew by in a flash and as I fly back home to San Diego, I summarize the highlights of the week in my head: MORE
L.A.M.B. – Gwen Stefani NEVER disappoints!
Gwen Stefani NEVER disappoints! Her design this season was very ‘Comme des Garcon’ with layers, texture and volume. Fabrics were a mix of different tribal prints, paired with checks and plaids. Pieces included harem pants, swingy dresses, wrapped jackets and kicky skirts. Her beauty story was…well HER, all the way! In fact, at the beauty test someone asked, “Do you think this is too much?” and she replied, “It’s never TOO much!” Intricately braided hair, dark Egyptian eye, red mouth and…”Van Gogh Blue” nails! The Blonds – ready for close-up!
We’re coming down to the home stretch with the next to last show of the week (and our personal highlight)…The Blonds! We LOVE design duo David and Philippe Blond…they are extraordinarily creative, real showmen and true artists! Their show is a REAL show…theatrical, fun and always beyond high glam. (PS: The audience is always as fun as the show itself…all the ‘cool kids’ are there!) MORE
Isaac Mizrahi – Cucumber sandwiches anyone???
“It’s a party, have fun, play…be free everyone,” said fashion designer and TV personality Isaac Mizrahi in preparation for his show! As adorable in person as he is on television, Isaac is filled with optimism for Spring/Summer 2011. The collection featured black and white Xerox prints in lovely clothes befitting of the office OR a garden party. Dresses, trousers and jackets in crisp white, heathered blush and nude netting over solids and floral prints adorned with playful oversized crystal necklaces and white lacquered collars and cuffs.
