Herve Leger- Va Va Voom!
Known for the skintight bandage dress, Herve Lerger is legendary for dressing the fittest of Hollywood. This season was a break-away collection that veered from the straight column silhouette by pairing kicky ruffled bustle skirts and Marie Antoinette-inspired floor length organza ball skirts with form fitting, sleek sculpted tops in sugar-coated pale shades of peach, ivory and blushes and strong accents of black. Karen Walker – I am such a fan!
I woke up with a bounce this morning…even though it’s Day 6 of NYC Fashion Week…(ooh la la…my aching feet! ) It was the morning of the Karen Walker show! I went to Karen’s atelier and showroom in Auckland, New Zealand earlier this year…and I must humbly say, I’m her biggest fan! She blends graphic color, optimistic prints, humor and fun into every collection. She is known for her oversized and unique sunglasses, which she sells at Barneys NY. The audience is almost as fun as the collection itself…the hippest cowgirls in town. Japanamation mixed with Alice in Wonderland. This is Karen’s trademark! MORE
Twinkle – Gorgeous!
Welcome to the dollhouse! Twinkle used two coats of ‘Brilliant White’ topped with two coats of ‘Copper Shimmer’ and finished with two coats of ‘Super Matte’ for bright white nails. Manicures were shaped with short tailored tips for a sweet and clean look. Gorgeous!
Marc Jacobs – how cool was that?!
The day before the show, our friend and collaborator, Elisa Ferri, long time nail professional for Marc attended the Beauty Test until 1:30 am to determine the final look for the most important show of the week. Marc Jacobs personally fusses every detail, himself…until it is perfect. Elisa is there to guide him to the right look and CND shade for the show.
